According to an interview with Anthony’s performance nutritionist, Mark Ellison, published in The Times in April 2017, his diet is focused on quality, fresh ingredients.

Mark explains: “We aim to give him 4,000 to 5,000 calories a day made up of 2 to 2.2 grams per kilogram of bodyweight of protein, and 4 to 8 grams of carbohydrate depending what phase of camp we are in.

“Even though he can eat a large amount of food it has to be good quality — we can’t fuel him on junk.

“We buy everything that’s seasonal as well as loads of sweet potato and rice — we get through a couple of bags of rice a week.”

Anything Else To Consider?

We’ve mentioned it at the start of this article, but it’s worth repeating.

There is no such thing as a ‘magic supplement’ to help you achieve your fitness goals.

You should always make sure that you are sticking to a great, healthy diet and training regularly before thinking about taking any supplements.

Adding a supplement to your regimen can help you to support your goals, but they cannot make up for an unhealthy lifestyle.

You should also speak to your doctor before thinking about taking any new supplements for the first time.
