Bulk Powders Complete Pre Workout – The Basics
So, we have clearly already worked out that Complete Pre Workout is a supplement designed and sold by the UK supplement company Bulk Powders.
In case you didn’t know, pre workouts are supplements that are designed to be consumed before periods of exercise to help support your health and fitness goals.
Bulk Powders are one of the bigger supplement companies in the UK and they are well-known for their affordable products.
Complete Pre Workout is also available on Amazon in the UK, where it costs around £10 for a 100g serving. But don’t be fooled by the small price-tag, 100g is a small bag, considering that each scoop is around 20g.
On the official Bulk Powders website, they also sell a 720g version, which costs around £36.
The marketing material on the official Bulk Powders website says that his product has been formulated specifically to help you get the very most out of your training sessions.
The promotional material says that it has been specifically formulated to give you a “boost” and help take your training to the next level.
The listing also says that this supplement uses an “impressive array of nutrients that work synergistically”.
They also make a big point about the fact that this supplement doesn’t use a proprietary blend, which is indeed good news.
But we’ve learnt not to pay too much attention to what manufacturers say about their own products.
Instead, we find that it’s better to focus on the important things such as the ingredients formula and customer reviews.
So, with that in mind, let’s move on to the next important part of our Complete Pre Workout review – the ingredients formula.
Let’s kick off this important part of our review by taking a close look at the actual ingredients formula as shown on the packet of Complete Pre Workout.
We should start off by praising Bulk Powders for opting not to use a proprietary blend for this supplement.
This is great news, as we never like it when supplement manufacturers opt not to include the doses.
We generally advise that you stay away from supplements that use proprietary blends, so it’s great to see that it’s not the case with Complete Pre Workout.
Now, let’s start taking a closer look at the main ingredients in the formula in a bit more detail.
• Caffeine – You probably already know all about Caffeine as a popular stimulant. It’s consumed by millions of people on a daily basis. Each 24g serving of Complete Pre Workout contains 200mg of Caffeine. To put this amount into context, you’d expect to find around 100mg of Caffeine in a regular cup of coffee.
• Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate – Also known as AAK, this is a popular pre workout ingredient. Each serving of Complete Pre Workout contains three grams of AAK.
• Citrulline Malate – An amino acid found in watermelons, this is a very popular pre workout ingredient, and it’s one of our favorites too. It’s great to find it in the Complete Pre Workout formula, at a dose of 2.5g per serving (this could be a little higher in our opinion).
• Beta Alanine – This is a common pre workout supplement that is found in a lot of the top products in this category. It’s a decent inclusion and it was good to find it in the Complete Pre Workout formula.
• L-Tyrosine – An amino acid which is commonly-found in a lot of the top pre workouts, including the female-focused option Powher. It’s a decent inclusion.
• BCAAs – Branched Chain Amino Acids are commonly used as pre and post workout supplements on their own, so it was good to see them included in this particular product. Each serving of Complete Pre Workout contains 5g of BCAAs at a ratio of 3:1:1.
We tried out the Cola flavour of Bulk Powders Complete Pre Workout, but there are other options including Watermelon and Lemon and Lime.
The white-coloured powder mixed well in with water, although it took a little bit longer to dissolve than other pre workout supplements we’ve tried recently.
The water soon turned a cola color and the mixture was ready to drink. The taste was pretty good – sweet but not too much so.
Although the Complete Pre Workout formula does have some decent things in it, it was a shame to also find some things missing as well.
For example, there were no B Vitamins at all included in the Complete Pre Workout formula.
It was also something of a surprise not to find any Creatine in this supplement at all. Many of the top pre workouts use at least some Creatine as an ingredient.

Bulk Powders Complete Pre Workout Reviews
We took a look on Amazon to see what real customers were saying about Complete Pre Workout.
At the time of writing, it had an average rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars, from 47 customer reviews.
One five-star review came from somebody who rated it five stars and said that they loved it.
However, a more negative review came from someone who rated it two stars and claimed that the amount provided in the pouch was “ridiculous”.
Overall, the Complete Pre Workout reviews seem to be a bit of a mixed bag.
What About Side Effects?
The label has a warning saying that this supplement has a high Caffeine content. It also says that this supplement is not recommended for children, or breastfeeding or pregnant women. There is also a warning saying not to exceed the recommended dose.
The label also says that this supplement is not intended for people under the age of 16.
We always strongly recommend speaking to your doctor before thinking about taking any new supplement or making any major lifestyle changes.
You should also carefully check the label to make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients.
The main thing to be wary of when it comes to pre workout side-effects is the overuse of stimulants such as Caffeine.
The 200mg dose is a substantial one, so you should bear this in mind, especially if you’re sensitive to stimulants or consume Caffeine from other sources.
And because of the Caffeine, it’s probably not a good idea to take this supplement too close to bedtime.
Remember, supplements are not intended to replace a varied diet and healthy overall lifestyle. It’s always a good idea to get your diet and exercise plan on point before thinking about supplementation.
Is This The Best Pre Workout For Me?
Although it is certainly a decent option, especially for the price, we don’t currently rate Complete Pre Workout as one of the very best pre workout supplements on the market right now.

Anything Else To Consider?
Just remember that there is no such thing as a ‘magic supplement’ to solve your problems.
You should always make sure that you are sticking to a healthy diet and solid training regime before even thinking about any kind of supplementation.
A good pre workout can indeed help to support your goals, but no supplement can be a substitute to the right lifestyle choices.
You should focus on getting the basics right first before trying a supplement.
Review Conclusion – Final Thoughts
That brings us to the end of our Bulk Powders Complete Pre Workout review.
Overall, we think that this is a decent pre workout supplement that has some good ingredients.
However, we don’t quite rate it as one of the very best pre workout supplements on the market right now.
