Today we’re going to be reviewing the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder to see where it stands in comparison to some of the other products we’ve tried recently.
Protein supplements have proven prhugely popular amongst bodybuilders and casual gym-goers alike in recent years. We all know that protein contributes to normal muscle growth.
However, there has been a strong trend of more people turning towards vegan supplements in recent years.

Vegan protein powders have become increasingly popular, but some of them have a reputation for not being quite as good as classic protein supplements such as whey protein.
We’re big fans of the Bulk Powders range of supplements here at HumanWindow, as they usually offer great quality and good value for money.
Naturally, we were keen to try out the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder to see what it tastes like and whether it can deliver as one of the best vegan protein powders out there.
In this review, we’re going to relay our experience of having used this supplement for a few days, and we’re also going to weigh up the pros and the cons of it.

Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder – The Basics
So, as we have already mentioned, Bulk Powders is a supplement brand famous for offering good quality products at good prices.
They are a UK-based supplements company that has been around for quite a few years, and they now also ship their products to various other countries.
As you’ve probably already guessed, the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder is a protein supplement which is made using plant-based ingredients.
It’s slightly more expensive than their Complete Vegan Blend powder, though not by much.
One 500g pouch of the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder will set you back £14.99, while they also offer a 1kg pouch for £24.99 and a 2.5kg pouch for £49.99.
Vegan protein powders are generally a little bit more expensive than other types, and this is a pretty good price point compared to some of the other brands out there.
The marketing material on the official Bulk Powders website says that this product delivers the “perfect plant-based high protein formula” and is “low sugar, low saturated fat and soya free”.
This product uses a blend of five different sources of vegan protein and claims to be the “most advanced” vegan formula on the market today.
The Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder is also available in a wide selection of flavours, which is always nice to see.
At the time of writing, the following flavours were available:
• Apple Strudel
• Banana Caramel
• Caramel Latte
• Chocolate Mint
• Chocolate Peanut
• Peanut Butter
• White Chocolate Coconut
It’s great to see that they offer an unflavoured version. This is good if you’re looking for a product without any sweeteners or added sugar.
We tried out the Vanilla and the Chocolate flavours. The Vanilla was tasty without being too sweet. It was not quite as sweet as Form Nutrition’s Performance Protein, which we had been using before this point.
It’s great to see that Bulk Powders have used Stevia as the sweetener, as this is one of our favourites.
So, now that we’ve covered the basics about the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder, it’s time to take a closer look at the ingredients formula.
Let’s kick this part off by taking a look at the full ingredients label and nutrition facts of Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder.
Editor's note: Any health claims about the ingredients mentioned in this article are listed as authorised on the EU Register at the time of publishing. Additionally, you should carefully check the ingredients information shown on the official website of any product you're considering purchasing, as formulas may change from time to time and therefore may differ from what's shown on this page.
As you can probably see for yourself, each 35g scoop contains almost 23g of protein, and 3.6g of carbs.
The ingredients formula uses a blend of five different sources of vegan protein, namely:
• Pea Protein Isolate
• Brown Rice Protein
• Pumpkin Seed Protein
• Flaxseed Powder
• Quinoa Flour
The powder also contains a dose of DigeZyme, which is a blend of five digestive enzymes: Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Lactase and Cellulase. This has presumably added to help with digestion.
What’s also nice about the Bulk Powders formula is that it’s got a decent amount of fibre, at 2.3g per scoop. Other than that, the sweetener (Stevia Extract) completes what is a pretty clean formula in our opinion.
There’s not a whole lot missing from the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder formula in our opinion.
If we were to be picky, we probably would say that they could have included some form of active bacteria as an ingredient, as is the case with Form Nutrition’s Performance Protein.
Generally speaking though, we actually think that it’s a case of the fewer ingredients, the better, when it comes to protein supplements like this.
Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder Reviews
We took a look online and on social media to see what people were saying about the Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder.
At the time of writing, it had a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars on the official Bulk Powders website from more than 490 reviews.
We tend to take reviews on official websites with a pinch of salt, however, as it’s never quite clear if they are moderated or not.
One happy customer left a five-star review on the official website and said that they were particularly fans of the Strawberry flavour.
There were some more negative reviews from people who were not happy about the grainy feel to the protein powder.
Is This The Best Vegan Protein Powder For Me?
We’re fans of this product. It offers great value for money and has a really good, clean ingredients formula.
We tried the Vanilla and Chocolate flavours. They were not the best-tasting protein powders we’ve ever tried, but they are not bad at all.
We found that blending the powders up with a banana and some almond milk made for a brilliant post-workout refuel.
All in all, we think this is a great vegan protein powder offering if you’re looking for a decent product that won’t burn a hole in your wallet.
Anything Else To Consider?
Remember that protein powders are food supplements, and they are not intended to be used as a replacement for a varied, healthy and balanced diet.
You should always make sure that you’re sticking to a healthy diet, getting enough exercise and sleeping well before thinking about any kind of supplementation.
You shouldn’t start taking any new supplements without seeking advice from a medical professional if you have any underlying health condition, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Supplements like this are designed to support you on your fitness journey. They will not work wonders on their own. You’ll still need to make the right lifestyle choices on a consistent basis to see results.
Review Conclusion – Final Thoughts
That brings us to the end of our Bulk Powders Vegan Protein Powder review.
We’ve walked you through the basic things you need to know about this product, have covered the ingredients formula and have also revealed how we got on with it.
Overall, we think this is a great option if you’re looking for a vegan protein powder which offers good value for money.
It’s not the very best tasting protein powder we’ve ever tried, but considering it has a great, clean ingredients formula, it certainly could be a lot worse.
