ENGN is a new pre workout supplement made by Evlution Nutrition and sold online at stores such as Amazon.

Priced at around $30 for a tub of 30 servings, it is a mid-range supplement that has been designed to help support your workout goals.

But is it a product worth trying or are there other better pre workouts that you should be using? The purpose of this ENGN Pre Workout Review is for us to take a detailed look at this particular supplement from all angles.

We’re going to be paying particularly close attention to the ingredients formula and what real customers are saying to see whether this product makes it onto our list of the leading pre workout supplements on the market at the moment.

There are so many pre workouts on sale these days that it can be difficult to pick out the best products from the not-so-great.

With so many options available, it can be tricky to select the right product for you.

So, with that in mind, let’s now begin our ENGN Pre Workout Review by taking a close look at the basic facts about this particular supplement.

ENGN Pre Workout – The Basics

So, we’ve already introduced the ENGN Pre Workout by Evlution Nutrition as a supplement that’s been designed to help support your fitness goals.

It’s available to buy on Amazon and elsewhere online and is made by one of the major supplement companies around.

Evlution Nutrition are one of the bigger names in the supplements industry, and we’ve already reviewed their Trans4orm supplement here at Human Window.

According to the product listing on Amazon, this supplement has been designed for both men and women who are looking for some extra support to get through their training sessions.

It claims to be an “explosive pre workout engine” that will help you to get the most out of your workouts.

In case you didn’t know, pre workouts are supplements that have been designed to be mixed with water and drunk before a training or exercise session.

It currently comes in a number of flavors, including:

• Watermelon
• Cherry Limeade
• Green Apple
• Furious Grape
• Pink Lemonade

The promotional material goes on to say that ENGN is a “revolutionary formula” which will help you make “game-changing progress” every time you hit the gym.

It claims to give you everything you need to support the “best workouts you have ever had”.

Of course, this all sounds pretty good to us, but we’ve learned not to pay too much attention to what manufacturers say about their own products. Instead, it’s better to focus on the ingredients formula and what customers are saying in reviews.

So, with that in mind, let’s move on to the next important section in our ENGN Pre Workout Review – the ingredients.

The Ingredients

Let’s begin this part by taking a look at the actual ingredients label on the tub of ENGN showing exactly what this product is made of.

The ENGN Pre Workout ingredients formula. It’s really disappointing that this supplement uses a proprietary blend to hide the doses of certain ingredients

Firstly, we should say that we were disappointed to see that Evlution Nutrition have chosen to to use a proprietary blend to hide the doses of some of the ingredients in the formula.

This is never good news, as it means that the doses of some of the ingredients are concealed in the blend, and that means we don’t actually know how much of each ingredient is included.

Generally speaking, we advise that you stay away from supplements that use proprietary blends, as we never like to see them used in supplements these days.

Anyway, let’s now focus on the main ingredients in the ENGN Pre Workout formula.

• Vitamins B6 and B12 – We always like to see B Vitamins used in supplements like this, so it’s always a good place to start for a pre workout. In case you didn’t know, Vitamins B6 and B12 both contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and support normal energy release. We are pleased to find them on the label.

• Niacin – Also know as Vitamin B3, Niacin contributes to normal psychological function and normal energy release. Again, this is a nice inclusion for a pre workout supplement for obvious reasons.

• Beta-Alanine – This is a fairly common pre workout ingredient and we are not surprised to find it in the ENGN Pre Workout formula. It’s one of the main ingredients found in our top-rated pre workout for women called Powher. It’s a decent inclusion in the ENGN formula.

• Caffeine Anhydrous – Caffeine is a common ingredient for a pre workout and you probably already know all about its benefits. The main pitfall when it comes to the use of Caffeine in supplements like this is the dosage. Generally, we think that only a small dose of up to 150mg is required per serving. This should be enough to give you a boost without triggering side effects. The 300mg dose of Caffeine in ENGN is a bit too much for our liking.

• Choline Bitartrate – This is not the most common pre workout ingredient but it’s not the worst one either. Choline contributes to normal lipid (fat) metabolism, amongst other things.

• L-Tyrosine – This is another fairly common pre workout ingredient that we like to see used. It’s a decent inclusion in the formula.

• Huperzia Serrata Extract – This is the main ingredient that Evultion Nutrition make a big fuss about in the marketing material. It is supposed to have some impressive benefits, but we are not totally convinced about it if we are being honest.

What’s Missing?

Aside from the disappointing use of a proprietary blend, the Evlution Nutrition ENGN Pre Workout formula is a pretty good one.

That being said, there were a few of our favorite pre workout ingredients missing from this supplement. For example:

• L-Citrulline
• Taurine
• Coconut Water Powder

It was a shame not to find these ingredients listed in the formula. We would usually always look for L-Citrulline in a pre workout as it’s an amino acid which is found in watermelons that has a number of benefits.

ENGN Pre Workout Reviews

We did some digging online to see what real customers were saying about the ENGN Pre Workout.

At the time of writing, this supplement had more than 400 reviews on Amazon, with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5 stars, which is pretty good.

One happy customer left a five-star review and said that it was “honestly” the best pre workout supplement they had ever used.

One negative review came from somebody who left a one-star review and said it was “OK at best”.

What About Side Effects?

The main thing to bear in mind when it comes to supplements like this is the overuse of stimulants such as Caffeine.

In our opinion, 300mg of Caffeine per serving is too much, as it could put you at risk of side effects.

We recommend that you check the ingredients formula to make sure that you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients.

We also strongly suggest that you speak to your doctor before thinking about trying any new supplement for the first time.

Is This The Best Pre Workout For Me?

We don’t currently rate ENGN as one of the best pre workouts on sale right now.

That’s mainly because it uses a proprietary blend to hide the doses of many of the ingredients, and is also missing a lot of our favorite substances.

Anything Else To Consider?

As always, remember that there is no magic supplement to give you the results you need. You should always make sure that you stick to a healthy diet and training regime before thinking about any kind of supplementation.

Pre workout supplements can indeed help to support your goals, but they are not going to do the hard work for you.

That said, a good supplement can help you to make sure that you’re getting the most out of your workouts.

Review Conclusion – Final Thoughts

This brings us to the end of our ENGN Pre Workout supplement review.

Overall, we think that this is an OK product, but probably not the best pre workout on sale right now.

In summary, it has some benefits, but the use of a proprietary blend and a very high dose of Caffeine has put us off.
