Skinny Bird is a female focused supplement made by a company called Hum Nutrition which is available to buy in shops such as Sephora and Amazon.
We’ve made it our mission to review all of the leading supplements on the market right now, and that includes products that have been specifically designed for the female body.
Before we get started, it’s important to realise that most of the supplements in this category, including the one featured on this page, have not been proven to help with fat loss and fat burning.
They are supplements designed to support your goals and that usually contain a number of plant extracts and other ingredients such as vitamins and minerals.
Most of the so-called ‘fat burner’ supplements we’ve reviewed tend to either be marketed towards men or be gender neutral, so a supplement designed specifically for women always stands out from the crowd somewhat.
Skinny Bird is Hum Nutrition’s main fat burner product and is marketed as a “weight management support” product.
The purpose of this Skinny Bird review is for us to take a close look at all of the important information about this supplement to see where it ranks when compared to the best similar supplements on sale right now.

Skinny Bird – The Basics
As mentioned above, Skinny Bird is a supplement designed to help women reach their goals.
According to the official website and the listing on Amazon, Skinny Bird has been designed to help in four separate ways.
It’s good that Hum Nutrition have formulated a product that’s been designed to work in multiple ways, because that always tends to mean a more effective supplement.
That being said, whether this product is actually any good or not will come down to the ingredients formula and doses.
Let’s now take a close look at the ingredients formula to see where Skinny Bird really ranks in comparison to the competition.
Here is the full Skinny Bird ingredients label:
It’s good to see that Hum Nutrition have not used a proprietary blend here, and so we know the exact doses of the ingredients used in this supplement.
Skinny Bird contains a grand total of four ingredients, which is significantly less than most of the similar supplements we’ve reviewed before. Let’s now take a look at the formula.
• Chromium – This is one of our top 10 best ingredients right now. Chromium is a trace element required by the human body for it to function normally. In case you didn’t know, Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism as well as the maintenance of normal blood glucose concentrations. A solid ingredient for any supplement and a good starting point.
• Caralluma Fimbriata – Now, we’ve never seen this ingredient in a supplement before and it doesn’t make our top 10 list. It’s a natural cactus extract which is believed to have some effects. However, there’s not too much scientific evidence to back up these claims unfortunately.
• 5-HTP – This is a precursor to the neurotransmitter Serotonin. Serotonin is also known as the ‘happy’ chemical. There have also been suggestions that 5-HTP could help with certain things. It’s not a terrible inclusion in the formula, but something better could probably have been used in its place.
• Green Tea Extract – Another one of our top recommended ingredients right now. Green Tea Extract is, of course, a popular hot drink and you’ll find it in many of the top supplements in this category. It’s not a bad inclusion in the Skinny Bird formula at all.
So, Skinny Bird’s formula does contain a few good things. Chromium and Green Tea Extract are two of our top recommended ingredients.
However, their formula is a little bit on the thin side in our opinion, and Hum Nutrition have missed off a number of our favorite proven ingredients.
Here are the notable omissions from Skinny Bird:
• Cayenne Pepper
• Black Pepper Extract
These are four key ingredients and products which don’t contain them are simply not going to be as effective as the top supplements.
Cayenne Pepper is one of the most popular ingredients for a supplement in this category and it was a shame not to find it in the Skinny Bird formula.
Glucomannan, meanwhile, is a dietary fiber extracted from the root of the Konjac plant that usually makes it into the top products in this category.
Caffeine is well known for its effects – you probably already know all about its benefits.
And Black Pepper Extract is the secret weapon of many of the top supplements on sale these days. It was a shame not to find it included in the Skinny Bird formula.

Skinny Bird Reviews
At the time of writing, there were only 37 reviews of Skinny Bird on Amazon. It had an average rating of 3.3 out of 5 stars.
One person said that they had bought it and found it “amazing” after she took it 30 minutes before her main meal every day.
Someone else though left a not-so-positive review, saying that they “fell for it” and had thrown their money “down the drain” as they left a one-star review.
And another unhappy customer said that it made them feel “sick to their stomach”, which doesn’t sound good at all to us.
What About Side Effects?
Supplement side effects usually come from the overuse of stimulants such as Caffeine or Guarana.
That’s not a problem in the case of Skinny Bird because there are no direct stimulants used in this product.
That being said, we always recommend doing your own research into the ingredients before taking a supplement for the first time.
For example, 5-HTP is known to make some people feel tired, which is why it’s often taken as a supplement before bedtime.
We strongly recommend speaking to your doctor before thinking about taking any new supplement for the first time.
Is This The Best Supplement For Me?
Not in our opinion. Skinny Bird has some decent ingredients but doesn’t use enough proven substances for us to consider it as one of the very best products on the market right now.
The fact that it’s missing things such as Cayenne Pepper, Glucomannan and Black Pepper Extract means that we don’t rate it as one of the very best supplements on the market right now.

Anything Else To Consider?
You should never expect any kind of supplement to work miracles and get you your dream body.
The simple fact of the matter is that there is no such thing as a “magic fat loss pill”.
The truth is that you should always make sure that your diet and training regime are on point before considering any kind of supplement.
That said, if you are already training hard, eating right, and getting plenty of rest, then adding a quality supplement to your regimen can indeed help to support your goals.
Just don’t expect the supplement to do all of the hard work for you.
Review Conclusion – Final Thoughts
That brings us to the end of our Skinny Bird review.
Overall, we were slightly disappointed with this product. It makes plenty of claims about how it can help you to hit your goals, but they are not really backed up by the ingredients formula.
The fact that it doesn’t contain any Cayenne Pepper or Glucomannan is disappointing, and it seems a bit light on ingredients overall, with just four in total.
Overall, there are lots of better options on the market right now if you’re looking for a female focused supplement.
